Default VRC

Has anybody tried this Virtual RC thing? I'd like to try it but don't want to drop the coin if it's stupid.

No. I was going to but figured it would be pretty lame using my keyboard. Ideally you need their usb adapter to use your own radio. But, it's $30. I don't want to throw down if it's lame.

That's what you'd spend on a crappy pair of SC tires/wheels you didn't like. Get the thing already and if it's any good you make one post and we'll all be ordering them too.

I tried the on road version (before the off road version came out) and it was horrible. Obviously that's only my opinion, but the control was just awful, I guess they send you an adapter to use a radio to give it more of an RC feel, but I didn't want to spend the money if I was that unimpressed with the controls in the first place. On top of mass emails sent everyday, like three to five emails a day about VRC stuff. I guess it has potential, but not for me. (do I get any change back for my two cents)

Its nothing more than a video game. Tricks that make the physics model blow out, and let you go fast regardless. Playing video games is good for eye-hand, and having the radio in hand can help. I didn't like the overall "Feel" but it was close.

Cost was high given the amount of time I could spend on it so I dropped my subscription.

LiveRC did a write up on this, Brandon, Eric, Scotty and Charlie (I believe) tried it out at a recent national, they all seemed to dig it.

HERE you go

Matt
That killed it for me too ... a subscription to a video game.
