Like The title says.

Can you use the Reedy 3300kv motor in the pro lite class?

I would think its considered mod since it's the equivalent of a 10.5.

Not really sure to be honest. I bought my nephew an sc10 rtr that came with the reedy 3300 and he was placed in novice open as opposed to kids cause his motor was considered faster than 13.5 by the director. I found a lot of conflicting info when trying to figure out the real answer via google due to difference in manufacturers methodology of assigning the ratings.

I feel ya.
Novak's web site lists their 13.5T spec motor at 3300k. and is a 2-pole
Reedy's 3300kv in the SC10RS is a 540 can 2-pole motor as well.

I guess I will just have to call.. I bought a 13.5T Novak for the buggy... not going to be happy to have to fork over another 200 to race a pro lite class... oh well

Brent,

Do a Google search on that motor, the results may change your mind.

I found this
KV matches a 13.5, but most local tracks to me allow it to run with the 17.5s, they say it isnt all the fast (like a good 13.5)

I agree its probably between the two in reality. On soft throttle profile on my ESC it is closer to a 17.5 but on the hard throttle profile it is for sure faster closer to a 13.5.

Found 90% of people claim it to be a 13.5T. I would think AE would release the RS truck as a Race Spec to at least be able to run a Pro Lite or 13.5T stock class.

Waiting for a phone call back from Kenny and SRS to open

My kid runs the Reedy 3300 in his rtr.... it will smoke both my Novak 13.5 and my Thunderpower 13.5 and I think that speedo has less gusto than the race spec speedo. That is just a statement about power... I'm very interested to know what the outcome is on this one.
