I have a yellow traxxas summit for sale. It doesn't come w/ the esc/motor b/c I upgraded to brushless. It has beadlocks on it and it will come w/ the radio and servos. I added extra lights to the body, it looks great. $200, I'll have it at SRS tonight during practice.

I purchased a Havoc Pro SC and 13.5 motor combo from SRS on Wed and don't need it. Since they only do store credit (and I'm not a fan of store credit) I want to sell it. I didn't use it, in fact it's still in the original shrink wrap.. just had it at the track for a back up. I want $200 for it.

I'm Flyinturbo's brother .. Yes he purchased the combo on Wed, the receipt was lost somehow (excitement of racing and new stuff, I'm sure) and because he doesn't have the receipt, they will only do store credit.

They'd take it back.. for store credit only. IMHO, one more reason that the LHS is a dying breed. Take care of your customers and they'll take care of you.

I can pretty much promise ya that when I go buy my next 6 RC cars, ESC, servo combos (which is what I'm looking at doing in the next 2 months), I will spend a few more bucks at the hobby store that takes care of me.

Just about the only stores that will take stuff like this back are mail order places like a-main. And they will charge you 15% restocking fee. Almost ANY hobby store will NOT accept returns on anything electronic... i.e. lipos, speed controls, motors. Some won't even take back a servo that's unopened. They will exchange defects, of course. However, 99% will not take back a speed control even if it isn't opened if you want money back. You're gonna get store credit just about anywhere, and some won't even give you that. Buyer beware.
