I stopped by FF yesterday afternoon and Bobby said that they were racing 1/10th scale tonight and thought that if a enough 1/8 scales showed up they would have practice for the 1/8 scales. I'd like to go out to and run my 1/8 scale too!

Im not going to be able to make it Going to do something with the family. Bobby at FF said he figures they will have the track open in the morning/early afternoon when it cools off which will make it a lot easier for me to get out there and I'm sure plenty of others.

Any update to Cory's question?

Is there 8th scale racing Saturday?

If so, what time?

Thanks,
Matt

I don't want to speak in place of an "official" FF response, but last night at practice they were handing out flyers that detailed the schedule and it went like this:

Racing:
Thursday - Oval racing (practice on other track(s))
Friday - 1/10th racing (also practice on other tracks)
Saturday - 1/8th racing (probably same w/practice)

I like the schedule as it gives more consistency and I don't have to "chase crowds" for racing...

Racing was great tonight, and if the track stays that dialed, there is no reason to go anywhere else. It was by mistake (The pit had some puddles) that Nick M. and I came out to race at FF.

Good program, and the turn out should improve. I like that racing will go on every week.

Similar to what Trevor and Casey said, I ran a set of Super soft Grid Irons all night without any real wear or give up as the track got worked in. The lower temps made me dial back my engine just a bit to get more power, but there was tons of bite out there to hook up the power.

Thanks again.

Matt

Just got back from a good night of racing at the Fear Farm! Went out there to see what all the buzz was about. As other people have said the dirt is awesome. It almost reminds me of Nitro Nut days but had tons of traction, was really tacky. I ran the same tires the whole entire night including 20 minutes of practice and they were still perfect.

Super Thanks for the Fear Farm Tickets!! That was really cool to give Fear Farm tickets to all the winners!

And thanks Matt for the pie

Magic 8-Ball says... "Outlook good".

The new race directors booth was strategically placed so that races can be ran on the 1/8 and 1/10 track simultaneously. Pretty soon you should see both tracks racing on the same days. It will help the program move a long a little quicker as well since while one track is running, the other is being watered.
