LIFE packs are a different technology and they don't explode... good question...

Like the hump says A couple of years down the road and we won't even remember what lipo's were. LIFE are the future in tc packs that's for sure.

Yep. I don't see a problem running them in a soft pack.

I am not even going to try and touch on the soft pack issues.

For those that say the hardcases are expensive I just picked up 2 packs at SRS for under $150 (for both). They replaced my older Thunder Power 40c packs and can barely notice the difference. Also if taken care of you can run them for a long time. I just retired my first lipo and I had it for nearly 2 years... That was a pretty good return of fun on my investment.

I would hit them or any of the other local shops up. I know most try to stock batteries for all sizes of wallets...

Yep, I just ordered 2 new LIFE batteries to use as receiver packs. I have raced lipo receiver packs for 3 years now, but was always a little worried that a really bad landing could cause a problem. Don't have to worry now. Check these out. http://www.allerc.com/product_info.p...oducts_id=4716

Hey Big gambler, are you a new Daddy yet? I think it should be time by now?

Had a great time last night...considering I have had the flu for about a week. I would love to race Thursday, but a Vegas trip has become priority. Good luck to everyone out there tomorrow night.

With regards to 1/8 electric racing on the big track on the 19th.

If there are enough entries to warrant a separate class, they will run on their own. Let's set the threshold at 6 for right now.

With regards to LIFE packs, they are much safer but too new to make a decision now, please check with RD at track, but I would bring hard case Lipo just in case.
