It's a great spot and definitely worth the extra drive if you can spend some time there. The track is particularly friendly to SC's but I struggled w/ the double/double when the wind picked up. Who am I kidding? I struggled w/ it even w/ no wind.

I hope to be back soon. Maybe next time I'll be daring enough to try that 1/8th track, that thing is nuts.

Oh and I met Jake. Just a nice guy and full of info.
I'm glad you had a chance to check it out, it's a great track with great dirt. Also I really dug your conversions - that was some cool stuff man!

It looks like I will be back at Fear Farm on Friday. Is the 1/10 track dug up yet? I know there was talk of reconfiguring it.

****Attention Fear Farm Employees****

Ever since you started using the large generator, rather than the smaller portable unit or portable lights for power I've been having issues charging batteries.

My power supply will cut off just shortly after starting the charger. At first, I thought it was just momentary loss of power, but others around me were still on and charging. Then I thought maybe it was my power supply, but it has worked fine at home and other tracks.

Has anyone had similar issues? I'm worried that the power is too dirty or daisy chained too many times and that it might cause my power supply to fail.

I'm not electrician, but something doesn't seem right.

I think that was happening to chizzle when we were out there. I dont know how they have it set up but I did see 1 very long and thin extension cord running from the big generator close to the freeway towards the tracks.

Yep, mine was doing the same thing. I just figured my power supply was drawing too much amperage. It pulls somewhere around 47 amps.

How does it draw more current than it is supplying? It must have been hot!!

Current draw should be about 1/2 an amp higher than your total charge rate. Just enough for the led and display on your charger. I would try a 12v computer supply from frys. The have a very clean dc output.

They're working on power improvements, in fact they will be working on many upgrades in the near future. This Saturday I'll be out there running races and actually racing myself :-). Noon start..

Mr. Picklicious
Is there going to be a series coming up.
Is there going to be track change in the near future.
It seems the 6 people who still enjoy racing would like to know.
