Hi,

Wondering if someone can steer me in the right direction. I was looking at coming to the track for the first time but am unsure of what type of electronics you guys require in the classes. I assume Novice SC would be the place to start having never been on a track before. I have nothing but a roller XXXT SC conversion right now and 6-7cell NIMH batteries.

What is a typical Novice class setup? Stock like the electronics that come with a slash/sc10? Brushed or brushless version, or both?

I'd like to get what I need before coming to practice.
Thanks,

Thanks,
A brushless set-up is the way to go, either a 17.5 or 13.5. I've learned to spend a little extra money in the begining and you will be much happier. The KEY element in R/C racing is to have fun.

For novice out here we let you run either 13.5 17.5 brushless with 2 cell lipo or stock equaviliant brushed motor and either a 6 or 7cell nmih batteries.
We have been working on the track lately, mostly resurfacing and a few new obsticales here and there. The resurfaceing has smoothed it out but also gave it back that nice cushion on top and lots of traction with minimal tire wear. Its going to be a cool series, I cant wait til friday night. The prescott group says they will be here and they are going to dominate all the classes ( a little smack talk).
Wednesday night the track will be open from 4 til 12
