Makes it hard to want to support them. They should be pushing everyone that walks by in to see the show with the hope they will sell cars.

My thoughts exactly!

They should be hiring one of those guys that stands out in front of a strip joint coaxing customers in. At best, what they are doing is counter-productive to growing the hobby...and his business.

Well ya see, LHS are in high demand. There's no reason why people would want to buy from anywhere else, so I can definitely see the reasoning behind this. They have to be able to afford the half-time entertainment and after race fireworks!

All sarcasm aside, I gotta say that's pretty bad marketing. Sure, it will be some additional cash up front, but the chance to 'woo' future enthusiats will definitely take a hit.

Can't agree more. I've been rc-dormant since SRS moved but I always like to take my kids to the Cactus Classic to watch and see all the drivers. I was looking forward to doing that this year. But I'll show my disapproval of this by not going.

Are they still trying to get on-road racing going or is that over. I have not been able to make it out the last few weeks but will be going out there on the 4th to get the 1/12 scale going if there is still a track.

So what happened to the on-road track? Two weekends ago, everything looked good. Last weekend I was there, it was completely disassembled.

Im just putting this out there for the on road track and off road for that matter.
Why dont they make the track in back a carpet track for off road with removable jumps since it seems that kind of racing is getting more popular.

And it can be used to race on road without the jumps or even oval. I know this all costs money but maybe it will give incentive to spend the money as both types of racing can be supported and generate revenue for the business.

I would think anyone with any type of business would want to go to sites like this to announce any and all related information about their activities.....but sadly not a sole posts here from there.....and then they complain about nobody wanting to race on-road there.

There should be 1 person at SRS, where their only job is to post updates on their facebook page, online forums like this one and wherever there is a site that hosts RC car enthusiasts. It surely doesn't convince me that they want to succeed....when all I hear is crickets. Go Figure. ....
