With the latest announcement via the facebook page for SRS I just read,
Going to need some help with a few things,
Tires? Being outdoors and probably like it was last year, I know some of the treads and compounds that will work. Question is, should I have a need to get more sets once there, where will we be able to do so? Meaning, will there be something setup on site, or close by to run and get some sets? If not, I'll do my best to be as prepared as possible before hand.
Schedule? Will the current track schedule stay as planned/scheduled for the Cactus? Hoping to get in practice on Tuesday when I get there, but if that's not going to happen schedule wise, I could always hit up a couple places and glue up some tires. LOL
Probably have some other things that I'm not thinking about, but the change in venue isn't all bad for me. I can now race at SRS one time. Be another track to scratch off the RC Bucket List. LOL.
Thanks for any and all help

Bring table, chair, easy up, extension cord, sunscreen and the hardest tires you can find. If you forget anything or 'run into trouble' with tires we'll help you get it solved one way or another. If you're flying down and can't haul all of that let me know and we'll start gathering it up for you.
I'll be driving down, so I'll have room for all the stuff I need, almost like a trip down for the DNC. LOL. I thank you for the offer of helping get stuff together if I were flying in. I'm sure there'll be some that will need that.
Tires? Luckily I have a fair amount, about 12 sets, for the outdoor sugar tracks. Mostly PL X2 Suburbs and Scrubs. Nothing brand new, but should be enough to get me going down there. Hoping I'll only need to grab a few new sets, either before hand or when I get down there. Trying my hand in the 13.5 class, so maybe I'll not be eating tires as fast as running Mod, but I'm planning on having fun no matter what. How long on an extension cord should I be bringing?
My general plan (which is all open to any schedule change for the event) is to roll in Tuesday morning. Hit the track and stake out my claim for the week pit wise and go from there. Would love to be able to start practice then, but if not, just getting the pit setup and such would be ideal. As long as the weather plays nice, no freak snow storm, I'll be a happy guy.

Got you covered John. Two years ago I was supposed to help you out and that was the 'beginning' of my wife (ex-wife now
) and I parting ways... I didn't even make it over to watch a single heat or race. I'd love to make it up to you this year. Whatever you need just let me know. I'll set up the easy-up/table/chair/power cord, on Wednesday for the club race so that will all be in place through the weekend. Feel free to put together a list of anything you need. Very few people will be traveling further than you

Looking forward to seeing everyone again.
Cheers
John
PS: I Love Sugar tracks!!!! Bring it on!!

Whatchu talkin' about Willis? That would be like forgetting to bring a shoes for my feet. The Easy Up is to keep ice from melting, not me.
Oh... and get your kidney's and liver 'warmed up', Nitro Challange begins in less than three weeks. It will take me being on the wrong end of a drive by shooting to miss that.

Also if anyone might know,
I'm pretty versed in sugar track for mod tire wise. Stock class, such as a 13.5, not so much. Tire wise, do the stock guys run the same tire compound as the mod guys or no? Was thinking about that at work tonight and thought it could go either way. I got PL X2 compound, but thought for stock, it may be a little hard. Just a thought I had.
