SRS - Scottsdale The un-official racers thread

If there is good grip on dry tires then the no sauce rule is great but hard to enforce.
Sauce sucks and is likely taking years off our lives. Would rather not have to use it

Quick question,
I know it's still early on, but wondering about the new AKA Evo tires/wheels. Good to go or no go for the Cactus? They have been a fairly hot topic with the legality at some places. So I guess, the more accurate question would be is, how strict does the Cactus follow ROAR rules?
Thanks for any info on that. Didn't want to stock up on things I couldn't use for the Cactus.

K. Thanks again Joe. Wasn't too sure on that and seeing as it's been a topic in a few different places, in regards to the new AKA tires/wheels, worst thing is that they couldn't be used. Hopefully, there will be a ruling one way or the other here soon. Being my first trip to the event, trying to be educated before hand.

With the latest announcement via the facebook page for SRS I just read,
Going to need some help with a few things,
Tires? Being outdoors and probably like it was last year, I know some of the treads and compounds that will work. Question is, should I have a need to get more sets once there, where will we be able to do so? Meaning, will there be something setup on site, or close by to run and get some sets? If not, I'll do my best to be as prepared as possible before hand.
Schedule? Will the current track schedule stay as planned/scheduled for the Cactus? Hoping to get in practice on Tuesday when I get there, but if that's not going to happen schedule wise, I could always hit up a couple places and glue up some tires. LOL
Probably have some other things that I'm not thinking about, but the change in venue isn't all bad for me. I can now race at SRS one time. Be another track to scratch off the RC Bucket List. LOL.
Thanks for any and all help
