SRS - Scottsdale The un-official racers thread

Thanks Joe,
I'll have to make sure to look you up at the Cactus and thank you in person for all of your help with the info.
Mostly clay should work with the clay compounds at some point, depending on how much moisture the track will hold. Soft/clay compounds is what I'll probably work with. Either way, I'm going to have fun there.

And if I just can't get my stuff together for the offroad, there's always the go carts. LOl.

What if any are you guys going to allow for treating the tires?

Rumor is no sauce allowed.

I have some clay tires I'm saving just to see how they do out here on the new track, I will report with my findings.

Interesting,
That could change my tire choice. Any particular reason as to the ban? I know the smell is pretty offensive with some sauces, though I think most now don't have the same smell.
With a sauce ban in place, is the use of simple green for cleaning tires ok? Sounds dumb, but I know a place or two that considered that a sauce as well.

Knew the smell was an issue, on road carpet racers can attest to that. LOL.
The track/clay? Interesting. I thought that might be the case and didn't know what the effects would be on the track/clay. Not sure if there's a sure fire way to say. I'm sure there are plenty that would say yes, and plenty that would say no on the any effects to the track/clay from just sauce alone. Though if enough sauce, and I have no idea how much it would take, was on the track, it could pose some sort of hazmat issue with the clay. Which I can understand trying to avoid that.
