I just saw this photo on the SRS facebook page. The layout for Cactus looks like it is going to be a blast.

Definitely looks clockwise. Putting a jump at the end of the straight just wouldn't be right. Or would it? Lol.

Default Thanks

Just wanted to say thanks to all the folks who worked so hard to create a very good track the Cactus Classic.

Still wish my skills were up to the track.

I know it will be fun next week.

It looks like the cactus classic event is full on rcsignup. Glad I got my name on that list and didn't wait until the last minute. Anyway, I am wondering if someone from SRS can comment. There is a vastly unequal distribution of racers, i.e., some classes have 50+ entries while some have 25 or less (SC 4WD has 13). It appears a lot of the SC classes are hurting. I am actually glad SC has died down in popularity, but it does seem a little funny to me that an event such as cactus, with all of its prestige, would have a class with only 13 entries. Anyway, will signups reopen for late registration, or are the classes set?
Also, will the addition of sugar to the track make for a different selection of tire compound? Or will what has worked in prior years still be the best choice? I am sure this one has already been answered, but as I am posting from my phone, I really don't want to search through the thread. Thanks.

Just stopped by to check it out. It looks way better in person than the pic. The oval is gone but the upside is now there's some serious elevation changes to the offroad track. Looks good guys. Looking forward to Cactus.

Default Weekend

Assuming the forecast rain does not appear, practice on Friday evening?
And club racing at 2pm on Saturday? Both wet track.

Thanks

If you didn't have '?' in your sentences I'd think you were telling us. But seeing as you do I assume you have no idea either.
