Hey I am planning my trip out for the Cactus and need some tire/insert info. I'll be running mod buggy (both 2wd & 4wd) and stock stadium truck. I ran the Cactus previously back in 2004,has anything changed? I am planning silver tapers up front on everything, red bk bars on the back of the buggies and red tapers on the back of the truck. Pro line 2 stage foam in the truck for sure, but would red AKA CC foam be good in the buggies?

Should be good. I ran the BK bars with that combo in mod truck and 4x4 SC for states last year. I also hear Tazzers are hot this year. I have yet to give them a try.

Default tires

What about Proline Suburbs MX compound with blue inserts rear and Proline Scrubs MX compound with blue inserts front for B4?

I can not find tazers in MX compound. Will M4 or a different compound work well?

Nobody runs Tazers at Cactus. Not by choice anyway. Suburbs and Scrubs in MX with closed cell will work great. Not sure about the other brands.

Why do people not run tazers at cactus when they work so well at the track for club racing?

because club racing never runs on blue groove and cactus does.

We are doing a make-up race for the rain out so this is not the last weekend.
Any luck with this yet? It sure would be nice to see the points going into the final round on Saturday.

Correct. the last race of the 4 week series, is this Saturday. Ricky said they would have one throw out round. That's good for me, since I missed one.

There is, and it's Saturday. If there wasn't the series would have ended last Saturday as originally scheduled.

Those guys want to go fast. Stock would be like a 4cylinder in a Ferrari.

I think a 13.5 4wd Buggy class would be fun. I'm not saying the 7.5 in mine isn't. But at such a big event, there's stock classes for everything else. Why not 4 wheel?
