The track is Awesome. Not to easy, not to hard. The hard part is picking the right tire, and setting up you suspension for a dry track. SRS, and Kenny B. put on a good show.

All I have to compare is too last years state race and in consideration of that... Last year it was blue bar codes. It was simple enough. Then it was just suspension set up.
This year I had an easier time. Ask around a little and most that i talked to are running pretty much the same thing..in sc. Then it was a question of tires. Found out what worked for my set up and commuted to it. It's making them last. It's a one-set-per-race. To me...that's hard on the budget. But I found even super worn tires still have grip...which is nice. Bald pressure points worked for me. Just can't get out of the groove. It's pretty wide.
Overall having more fun this year than last. Makes it worth the expense I guess...lol

What a good weekend. Meet a bunch of new(to me) people. BIG thank you to Kenny Brosh, and SRS for putting on the race.
See you next time.

So what is the tire of choice for weekly club racing on a short course truck? Something tells me my rebars aren't gonna work. But since i have to relocate this week due to w3 closing, time to figure out whats needed.

I'm going to be in the area over the holidays for 2 weeks for Christmas and Fiesta bowl, so I was thinking of bringing my 17.5 b4.1 with me. Are club races going to be held as normal during the holiday season?

It was an awesome time for sure, but man I spent more on tires than I ever have!! $200 alone in tires for my SC10 4x4 and T4.1 was rough. I had a great time even though I failed to get into the top 3 in any class. Here are a few pics from the race I shot.

Nice pics. I spent about 200 on tires and wheels. I thought since I was a novice, and slow. That I would not burn up tires as fast. Boy was I wrong. Must be something in that grape soda, they were spraying on the track. lol
It had killer traction, as long as you stayed on the racing line.

Does anybody know the club schedule for this week. I know Kenny
announced it, but I forgot.

I don't run Mod Buggy but there is a whole selection of tires that work.
Double D's, Imapcts, Square Fuzzy's and so on are all popular.

Foams are stock to closed cell as well.

It's "Friday Night Lights" Practice tonight.

Gates open around 4pm and track will open between 5pm and 6pm.
Track closes around 11pm.

Come out and lay down some laps...
