I remember Canyon was the first to try it out with his 4wd and a 4.5 brushless... We were all getting our stuff ready in back room, Canyon leaves and comes back in like 1 minute broken because he went at the jump WOT first time out... Hahaha, good times.

I remember me and James building that jump and we had totally different thoughts of how it would be at the time. The Cactus traditionally has always had something memorable on the track, Anfinson always wanted at least 1 jump on the track for the wow affect and I tried to carry that torch maybe a little to heavily that year. I always remember him saying that when we built the Cactus layouts. I hope that SCT doesn't ruin that forever.

Quad '07 Cactus:

These pics don't really do the justice. They appeared much higher live! "The Quad" is a very famous jump though. It is because of that jump as to the reason behind why certain sections of tracks are "stated" to be driven without a penalty.

That was a big boy jump. Only the pros did it with somewhat consistant results. That was one jump with severe penalty of you came up short and big time payoff if you made it. In the mains Maifield was doing it almost every lap and Cavalerri only did it near the end. It was awsome. A SCT would take off like a kite if you tried to jump that.
