LOL.... hells yeah! Jake hooked me up and tuned my hot rod on Saturday. That's my first 4wd rig, it seems like it's easier to drive, but at the same time, you REALLY need to pay attention because it's so damn fast.... The ONLy concern is running the track backwards.... that light pole at the end of the straight can get dangerous....

Ya, the light pole...I know ALL about that thing! Note the huge RPM front bumper on my truck!

Best of luck driving that bad boy!

also, (and i know this from personal experience) if you go airborne before you hit the light pole, jam on the brakes just before you hit it, and if you can tag the light pole with your cylinder head, it makes a real cool 'KERRRANNNNNG!' kinda noise.

Default dry track tires for practice days

Ok, I'm looking for tires that'll work when practicing on the track when dry for both 2wd and 4wd buggies. I have some old Losi BK Bars that worked well on my B4 the other day, but I don't know the compounds any more - been too long - maybe Red?

Anyway, I now see JConcepts with the Barcodes and Proline with the Suburbs - do these work well also and if so, in what compounds?

I'd like something with a decent life expectancy also - some already too-worn-for-racing Holeshots were shot after 5 minutes on the dry.

Thanks for the help!

It'll be interesting fo sho!! I would of never guessed I would have an 8th scale...but the deal was too good to pass up.

It will be interesting, to put it mildly... Keoni should charge admission

Here are some pics.... hopefully not as memories of how it used to look

The Calibers work great when the track is drying out, and the Goosebumps for wet. Your bowties should work good too.

If I remember right, the top 5 or so drivers are on Goosebumps.

I just bought the AKA super soft tires last Saturday and ran them in the A main. Ran my fastest lap times with them -they are great! I also have m3 Calibers (cake up BAD in the mud) and Goosebumps (better for hard pack). If I remember right, I think the AKA's were on the winning Cactus Classic truck.
