Are there any local shops that have transponders in stock?

Yeah its just a fly by night class anyway! Who wants to race against 29 other people in the same class on a club night? Thats so [email protected]!

Default SCT racing

Yes it is much more manly to race 1/8 scale by yourself in the main. Yawn.

I didn't say it wasn’t a big class. I have just heard several say they're not into the smash up derby mentality. I couldn't agree more, and that's why I don't race SC.

I wasn't trying to start a debate, but the mentally challanged of this world want to turn it into one I guess. Oh well. At one point I would have provoked, but now I just feel bad that nobody really likes them. These forums have actually taught me a valuble life lesson. It's better to keep a distance from stupidity, and not indulge it. Leave debates to people that have the capacity to do so.......in person.

So Roy, I don't like the SC class. Go find out if you like it. I was just trying to save you $15 and letting you know that you can bang into other cars with your kids at home. I'm not the only one who looks at it this way. It possibly could be much bigger than 29 racers I feel.

mark i think you missing the point of sc, its about having fun (something most people forgot about rc) there is bumping just like in any other class ive seen you in most the time its jake, humpty, mayfield, bus, RAY, and sometimes even me just bangin doors for FUN, its NOT like they are taking out the whole field. sc is the best thing to hit rc in a long time for several reasons but the biggest reason is because ITS FUN. isnt that why we do this?? besides id rather run in the sc class instead of with a bunch of out of control 1/8 scales. that being said lets have some fun!!

Thanks James for commenting on my SC. I sense your honest appreciation for it. I too love my SC10.

You all may think it's just me, but I assure you there are others that don't want to race it because of the smash up derby factor. But yeh, it's about fun. You can't dispute 29 racers!! But do you really need transponders? That was why I originally told Roy, no. Just go out there and "have fun".

Yes Tim, 1/8 scale can be a hack fest too. But I'm not sure that it's intentional.

I just don't think fixing my broken SC, spending $100 on a meaningless transponder, and just out there screwing around, and paying $15 to do it is my thing. But again, 29 other racers disagree apperantly. So yes....this is great for the sport of RC!!!!!

Now practicing? Bangin around pre-race, or at Paddocks or where ever? Absolutley. It's probably my funnest car to drive, bang, rub plastic, whatever. Just not into racing it. I'm not alone.

Blah, blah, blah, whaa whaa whaa.
man if we are worried about getting hacked, $15 entry fee and $100 rebuilds and transponders (btw you dont need one if you dont want your laps counted) you are in the wrong HOBBY. If we spent half the energy we used to stir the pot and cry on RC tech and spent that on supporting your LOCAL hobby store and/or track we would have way more fun. That is just my 2 cents. on the tone!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!! YEE HAW!!! Sorry my bad.
