I was able to check out the facility this past Saturday. They're still working hard to finish everything, but it's easy to see how amazing this place is going to be when completed. Was able to see several classes in action, including the 1/12th scales, and traction on the current surface looked sufficient.

Can't wait to put a car down and try it myself!

Make sure you bring some tires that work! Congrats, you did well after putting on tires that work with this surface.

What tires seem to be working decent? I have tires I bought for the Main St. location w/ 1 run on them, I have some USGT tires and VTA tires, but also a box of sweep stuff from RROC events.

It wasn't terrible. It's an acceptable surface for touring car, but it's a bit of a chore to drive pan cars on. Even after being loaned a useable set of tires I ran the main with no rear side springs. I hope they can get the track to stick around, we will see if they keep trending in the right direction.

It's a perfectly good start.

USGT: The spec tire works great

Definitely still a thing. We are averaging over 30 racers per Saturday. Go to LiveRC and search for ASR - also The Arizona Scale Racers Facebook page and the P&F Hobbies facebook page has pictures and video of the track

For those who don't use the FB, this track is still active and going strong! The surface is a bit unique, and once rubbered in works well for both foam and rubber tire classes. I've included a link below to last weekends 1/12th 13.5t A-main, and image of the flyer for the upcoming trophy race in July!

With the price of TC kits and the cost of gas I'd have to sell a kidney to make it.
