Racing in Tucson
#1

So I am trying to see if I can get enough people that are interested. I want to find a lot were we could make a track and race. But I know I would not be able to do alone. And since we have no tracks in town, I figure if we group together maybe we could make something happen.

It's never easy. Did this VERY same thing in 1974. Got a lot of 2x4's and plow disks and tried. Ultimately just ended up driving to Phoenix every other weekend. When Bruce finally built a permanent track in 84 at Fast Track, it all came together and then soon there were three tracks in Tucson.
Hopefully someone grabbed up the plow disks and boards from Hobbytown there.

Sad Hobbytown closed. Ace hardware on Houghton used to do some racing in the parking lot...I don’t have all the particulars.

Make Tucson great again... Until then I stand by and wait for a track of any type.

Our 1st ever "Circle de Mayo" paved oval race is coming Saturday May 7th.
Along with our dozen or so 1/10th scale oval classes, we will have Quarter Scale cars on hand too.
If in or near Tucson AZ on Sat. May 7th come check us out at the Tucson Quarter Midget track in Marana ( off the I-10 at Avra Valley Road exit #242. Then proceed about 1.5 miles on the frontage road.
