4wd 1/10th scale buggy has also been added to the line up for 2016. Remember that if 4 or more show up we will run whatever.

Default New for 2016

New for 2016 will be a point series for the track. Each class will be awarded points for all finishing places. From April to October there will be 12 club races in which you can earn points, there will also be (3) drop races just in case you can't make a race or have a bad finish. Top finishing position for the other (9) races will be total for the year end championship. This should create some friendly competition

Default Novice class

What exactly are the specific rules in novice. Reason i ask is my son runs novice at another track but with a losi8 running only one battery. He did run novice with a 2wheel drive sct but running against 4wd's and other 1/8. I changed him to 8th b/c thats what he'll eventually run.

Thanks for the question, we usually don't allow 1/8th scale to run novice. If you have a SC that would be better. Some do run 4x4 SC but we enforce strict breakout lap time. Most of the 4x4's usually breakout. If that's all you have for your son to run, come anyway, we will firgure something out

Thanks for your reply. It just didnt make sense knowing he'll eventually run 1/8th and also everything in my trailer is tailored to 1/8 scale buggy and truggy. It was also costing me more $ b/c nothing except batteries would interchange. Now almost everything interchanges especially tires and electronics. Also, with only one battery, he is usually the slowest on the track. Thanks again, stuart

Thanks,
Sure thing! It pretty simple, Point races start in April and run through October. All races are 1st Saturday and 3rd Saturday of the month with EXCEPTION of April 17th (sunday). There are 3 bigger races schedule this year at Rc3. They do NOT count toward point races. SO with all that, it leaves 12 club races and you will be allowed to drop 3 races.

Also if you like going to other tracks, there will a point series race between Rc3 and Sharc for (2) races this summer. June 4th Rc3 and July 9th at Sharc. Just two races but may lead into something better in future.

We have a web site also, www.rc3racing.com for those not on FB

Default Season opener

Ok guys and gals, this coming Saturday, March 5th is season opener for Rc3 offroad. Sign-ups close around 9:30am and race schedule to start around 10am. This is the first race of year so expect a few glitches here or there but hopefully everything will go fine. Layout changes also to track so it needs some racing also. Hope to see some new faces this year, all the regular classes, need 4-5 to make a class.

Default Cancel March 5th race

Guys, the race for tomorrow on March 5th has been cancelled. Just too much rain this week and it will have several wet spots most day tomorrow. I may go out Sunday around lunch and hook up the computer for open practice since its going to be so nice. Sorry no racing.

Default March 19th Race

Ok the race is still on for tomorrow. Weather forecast is up and down with anything from 10% to 40% chance of R. Use your best judgement. Sign ups close at 9:30-9:45AM. If the weather is acting up, we will push out sign ups if weather will improve. See ya there.
