INTRODUCTION >>> The Novak US Touring Car Championships is an annual January tradition in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, bringing together some of the best on-road racers in the country to test their skills at one of the best indoor tracks anywhere. Taking place from January 7th-11th, 2004, at S&N's Trackside Hobbies and Raceway, the "Novak race" is a perfect combination of fun and extremely competitive racing. This year's race also marks a major first: a brushless motor class at a large event. Novak supplied 30 of its Super Sport brushless units as handouts for the class, although they were to be returned at the end. Another unique aspect of the race is the inclusion of both rubber and foam tire classes, as well as a novice class and a Tamiya M-chassis class. All of these are aimed at making the race fun and accessible for the average racer, while still letting people come and race with the pros. RACE COVERAGE >>> We'll be bringing you news, results and pictures from the race on a round-by-round basis. Be sure to check out our official 2004 Novak U.S. Touring Car Championships discussion thread in the forums, as well as the pages of pictures and results as we add them here. RACE SCHEDULE >>> Although the race takes place over five days, the first two are reserved for practice, with qualifying beginning on Friday and the mains, of course, on Sunday.
