MARCCA: Pictures from the 2002 Capital City Carpet Challenge

Madison's annual title race returns in 2002, bigger and better than ever. This year we shortened the length to a one-day event, with a night of practice on Friday, rather than the traditional 2-day event we had been doing. The turn out this year was great, with racers coming in from Milwaukee, Green Bay, and Minnesota. Check out a few pics below...

Views from the pits...

Our (rather simple) track in action...

...and again. As lame as it looks, it was fun to drive, especially in the foam mod class. No matter your take, I take full responsibility, since I designed it (so there!)

Plenty of trophies were on hand for the taking. A good many of them are probably in Milwaukee by now...

MY pit area at the track. What good is having a website if you can't post your own pics, right?

My first experience racing trucks ended like this. Surprisingly, the broken arm mount occurred in what turned out to be a TQ run -- and my first time EVER driving a truck. Weird, huh?

What do you mean? Foam tires never chunk!
