Here at R/C Tech, we are proud to offer more than just generic advertising space; advertising with us allows you to directly target a large base of potential customers who are already interested in your products and services.

Born in mid-2001, R/C Tech has quickly grown to become the dominant independent radio control web site on the internet. As of January 2005, we are averaging close to 130,000 total banner impressions per day, and transferring more than 160GB of data each month. We receive over 30 new members and 2,000 new messages each day. On top of that, we are home to some of the most knowledgeable people in the industry, professionals and hobbyists alike.

Here is a look at a sample of our growth, with data from each of the last six quarters:

R/C Tech is more than just a message forum. We feature Product Reviews, periodic Articles, and we travel around the world to bring Live Race Coverage to our members. All of these activities help bring a wider audience to the site, many of whom are in the market for new products. Our visitors come from all over the world, with the largest groups residing in the United States, Great Britain, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan.

We currently have three different advertising packages available. To see a description of each, click the link from its name.

The majority of our transactions are handled via the Paypal service. The minimum term for any advertisement is 3 months, and by pre-paying for as long as 12 months in advance, you can lock in the current rates; as the site continues to grow and our bandwidth and hardware costs expand, rates will be adjusted to compensate.

This allows you to place a "standard" banner ad on R/C Tech, to be rotated among all current banners. Your banner will be found all over the site, including the main site (here) and the forum pages. It is likely that your banner will be viewed well over 3,000 times per day, based on our current statistics. Everything is tracked by our ad server, and you will receive a weekly report detailing banner views and clicks.

Important Note: Having a banner on R/C Tech entitles any non-retail company to maintain a single thread in one of our forums. For example, ACME Batteries, or XYZ Motors. However, promotional posts may not be made anywhere outside of this single thread, and online retail stores are not entitled to a promotional thread with the purchase of a banner.

This allows you to place a vertical banner ad on R/C Tech, to be rotated among other current vertical banners. The vertical banner differs from the regular site banner in that (a) there will never be more than 5 in rotation at any one time, and (b) it is only currently displayed on the forum pages (although this may change in the future). It is likely that each of these banners will be displayed 10,000 - 15,000 times each day, and even more as traffic increases. Like regular site banners, everything is tracked by our ad server.

Having your own Commercial Forum on rctech.net is a powerful and virtually unlimited advertising tool. You have full control over the content of the forum, and may use it for just about anything you see fit. Product announcements, price lists, sales, closeouts, special deals, and so on are all easily conveyed to the R/C Tech community.

• your web address displayed below the forum name
• full moderation control of the forum
• all users WILL see your forum (it will always be on the main page)
• allows your business to interact directly with the R/C Tech community
• allows you to add a link to your site where customers can interact directly with you; questions, new products, support, and so on -- a valuable tool!

Important Note: Having a Commercial Forum on R/C Tech entitles a retail company to have a single thread in one of our forums. However, regardless of their advertising status, no company is allowed to promote its products or services in other threads around the site. For example, posting "we now have XYZ kits in stock" in the XYZ thread is not allowed.

Our suggested use of a commercial forum is to add a "Discussion Forum" link to your website, leading straight to your forum at R/C Tech.
