It's race day! We only had a couple sprinkles overnight. Opening at 8:00, practice until 10:30, drivers meeting at 10:45 and racing gets underway at 11:00.

Yeah, smaller pin soft or supersoft usually. Hybrids, Triple D's, Gridirons, Holeshots etc. work good when it's dry and grooved.

Weather update- Looks like the rain is stopping. We only had about 2/10" of rain. We will be racing tomorrow. If the track is slick in the morning we will have peat moss on hand. The worse case scenario is it rains more over night we will have a late start. Also, I will not be here tomorrow, I will be going to commencement at UW Madison. This Saturday- Round one of our Summer Points Series. Medals will be given out to the top 3 in each class.Here is the schedule for the week. Thursday, track will be closed. Friday, we will have practice from 3 until ?. Camping is allowed Friday night. On Saturday practice from 8:00 to 9:30 and racing will start at 10:00. We are starting at 10:00 due to the expected large turnout.
Something to note- on Saturday will have someone here doing some interviews for an upcoming article in Roadking magazine.
Lastly, something else was brought to my attention that hasn't been addressed. All racers have to disable any driving aid such as the Spektrum AVC when racing. This is a definite unfair advantage.
The weather looks great, should be a beautiful day for racing! Tim

UPDATE: The track is soaked/washed and will need a rebuild before racing can happen. The weather forecast isn't favorable and we wanted to make a decision early so everyone can make plans for Memorial day weekend. That being said there will be no practice today (Thursday) and NO racing this weekend. The nitro only event planned for this weekend will be rescheduled for June 18th.
