AJ will be running AJ's Raceway until August 31, 2005 after that I will be taking over and the New track will be called "Intense Raceway Park" we are in the process of changing many things. we have ordered new CRC Fasttrack II carpet which should be here in the next couple weeks.

Hopefully things don't get tooo INTENSE!

Glad to see that you have chosen the new name. Out of curiosity. What were your final 3 names you were choosing from.

Good luck with your new facility....

Later,

Well i dont know where to start, we are in the procees of also squaring off the track a little bit, adding more pit tables, lowering the drivers stand, building a new tech counter (yes we will be using this), moving the hobby shop to the back room, building a actual consession stand, and starting the endless chore of repainting. that is just some of the inside things, we also have a long list of things we will be doing to both outdoor tracks.

I am glad to see you have picked a name. Good luck with all the construction on the place. If I lived closer I would come & help out. Good luck & have lots of fun.

Peace Aaron(W-W)

If you nickname it "IRP" some people might get confused. They might think when you say "IRP" you might mean Indianapolis Raceway Park. I guess I am just being technical but you know some people.

Very Good choice on the name. I know shane and mike will do a great job rehabing the track. Those 2 guys work super hard on dialing there cars in each week and if you have ever been out to see them race, those cars are dialed. So i am sure Intense Raceway will be nothing less than top notch once all the repairs/changes are finished.

Lower stand? Why?
Big track needs tall driver stand!

Because the stand is too tall compared to the rest of the tracks used for big events. Practicing for a 3ft drivers stand by using a 6ft drivers stand doesn't help you much.

Like Matt has said we would like to bring it down a little closer to what the norm is, it is very hard for out of towners to get use to being so high, and also is hard for regulars to adapt to lower stands whenthey travel to places and race.
