Default GOOD QUESTION???

I guess I never considered the overlap of this race and our normal Oval schedule when it all got changed. Maybe if nobody wants to run off-road it should be all oval??? HMMMMMMMMM

Default entries?

This is a request to answer the previous questions. If we get a decent crowd we should still be able to run oval the night of this race weather permitting.

What I need is any groups and singular racers to post here if they are coming (the prizes have already started to come in and are looking good!)

Also post if you would like the track watered and any other improvemnets we can make. Oshkosh is a club track and we run what the racers want!

I will be running this show but I could use some helpers for this day email me at [email protected] if interested.

Thanks
Bob

Nick and I will be in 1/8th scale buggy. Michelle may be there for Monster truck and maybe 1/10th gearbox.
As far as watering goes, a heavy watering the night before would do fine if the track is swept of the loom. Watering only goes down 1/4 -1/2 inch when it only soaks for 10 minutes. It also largly evaporates in the hot daytime sun. Watering only helps the traction for the first 2 races after its been done. That leaves the following races racing on what will likely be the type of suface you will face in the 30 minute A main. So if you are the lucky (or unlucky) person who runs the first two qualifiers after the watering, your car wont stick as well in the A because you didnt adjust for lower traction in your heats. Meaning youll be fighting push in the main. I would sooner run dry wear everyone deals with the same traction from the first qualifier to the last main. Just adjust your suspension and tires to gain the traction you need.
You asked my opinion and there it is. Chuck

Default oval?

Based on the response so far I think we will have no problem running Oval on the night of the championship. The raffle prizes are rolling in such as

10 MIP on board temp monitors
Tmaxx upgrades and computer games from traxxas
Misc Integy stuff
Associated factory team tools
Kimbrough Gift certificates
and lots more

I am still looking for helpers for this day to sell and promote the raffle tickets, also a few race directors would help. This is our big race and remember the quality of this race is a reflection of how good our club is.

Default Raffle

Raffle prizes for drivers are a one ticket per driver basis and will be handed out upon registration. We will have raffle tickets available at the track the day of the race and you must be there to win. We usually have over 100 prizes and it takes most of the day to pull tickets so get there early and buy tickets right away.

The latest on prizes is Losi is putting up a Drake II nitro truck and Hpi donated 9 monster truck bodies ($30 ones) Megatech is sending 60 aditional prizes and Mcoy and Odonnel are send plugs and fuel.

I will keep you posted as there is much more coming.

Thanks
Bob

Just another reminder for teams red and orange. August 6th is a scheduled work saturday on the off road track. We plan on tearing up the top 2-3 inches of the run line with a rototiller so we can relevel the track (smooooooth) and pack it with an asphault roller . The tubes will need to be lifted for the tiller. Also raking and leveling the dirt will be done before the roller. My hope is for a smooth surface for the special and to last for the last leg of the outdoor season. If any others can come that day to help, it will be greatly appreciated. More hands means a better job and done quicker. Chuck
