2013 Byron Fuels Heartland Challenge, September 6-8 - Hobbyplex Omaha
The HobbyTown USA Hobbyplex and Byron Fuels have once again teamed up to host the Heartland Challenge nitro off-road race, September 6-8
The Plex is one of the only purpose built indoor RC tracks in the country that can handle the rigors of hosting a nitro event.
Our track is 160 x 80 feet with no poles to run into. 16 garage doors surround the building so ventilation is never an issue. 12 sky lights in the roof provide plenty of natural light in the daytime. It's just like racing outside, but with a roof. No more rain outs.
We have 175 4-foot pit spots complete with power and chairs in a seperate air conditioned building, and a hobby store with inventory coming out of our ears.
Here are a couple of recent videos of our track including the nail biter from last years race between Cody King and Ryan Lutz in expert buggy.
Cody King and Ryan Lutz will be back this year along with many more. This is also a Byron's contingency race.
