Valid point but why can't TC/F1 be the class for those folks? Just drive your UsGT/VTA with the TC's if its strict.

Cause guys like me go for looks and the usgt and vta body's are the best looking I 100 percent agree on using the correct motor but to me at a club level esc's shouldn't matter .also like in most classes as people learn slower is faster for new people ,also do you really think a guy new to onroad will do well with and open wheel f1 car ? I see lots of broken parts

As i'm pretty sure i'll be the one "enforcing" rules it will probably go a little something like the folks up at the track are doing for VTA during "club" days.

As long as it's an approved ROAR ESC and in blinky mode...you will be fine.

I'm not going to tech every single car, every single time. However, during first runs I will be.

So what that means is, whatever ESC you choose, MAKE SURE it's on the ROAR approved list.

I doubt anyone is going to check until a big race. Is there a rule that you can't run a USGT/VTA in TC?

It's one thing to run all open classes sinces some people don't have 17.5's but to disregard the rules in a class that specifies rules doesn't make sense to me. I'm sure you could trade a non-used tekin for a compliant speedo.

This will be an "honor" system type thing. If someone complains "x person is WAY faster" that person will be tech'd

running USGT and VTA in TC is like running blinky buggy with a heap of mod buggys, pointless.

People do not realize how fast a 17.5 TC car actually is. Not to mention how much faster they can get through the corners.

All that would ever do is break parts.

I wasn't saying to run a GT/VTA motor in 17.5 TC. While I'm okay with eased restrictions on club days, I don't see the point. Most of the guys who come out on club days also do the big races here. Since USGT/VGA has spec electronics, I'm hoping I can find it on the forums for a decent price.

Anyways, I okay with it either way. I just think if its gonna be set, it better be now.

I'm in for TC. 17.5 is fairly fast on small tracks but not obscene and I'd love to see some guys come out for it regularly.

We allow any esc in blinky mode for usvta down here at Hotslots in Ubana. We also don't enforce the driver figure rule.

Might have to make a trip up this summer and check it out. I run usvta, usgt, and f1.
