Great Racing Last Night!
50 plus entries, the track surface was very moist, boarder line greasy, but a great challenge for all tuners. I'll give a little "race review" from my perspective.
SCTmods (EDM) In the first qualifier I set a new track record of 52 laps! Wow that getting it done with a 17.5 on blinky and a heavy race car. But that only lasted 1 round.... Kevin gave his ride to the Hyspanic Rocket (Andy) and he bested my track record to a better 52 lap run! Awsome run HR and a new track record. The main was full, 7 cars. I new I had to be up on the wheel, Andy is ultra consistant and I had to pull something out to beat him. I put my best pack in and tuned my motor up. Also mad a bad error and changed my prep, I thought the track could take it, I was wrong for I had a Tight car. Andy spanked the field with another 50 lap run, very impressive with all thet traffic.
17.5 rubber sprint had a large field. Early on the track surface was perfect for slick rubber tires and they were FAST. Dalton, Yo, and Cook were all over 54 laps.. But by main time the track dried just enough and got a few marbles on top that it got to be a bit of a handful if you didnt have tread on your rears. BULLET BOB took the Amain win with a solid 50 lap run! He drove a consistant race stayed out of trouble and took home a great victory!
13.5 Sprint. Qualifing was tough for most. These fast sprinters were a hand full trying to get foward bite and or not getting too tight. Cook TQ'ed with 57 laps but Shawn was a Real close second. Cook decided to not run the main, So the field was Shawn, Myself, Andy, Giff, Kevin, and a new driver. (Sorry I am terrible with names) The track had a narrow groove and these cars are capible of sub 4 second laps. I decided to put a fast tune in my motor, gear up 1 tooth and let it rip. my car was OK all day but not up to Cook or Shawn speed. I guessed correctly and had a 4.1 second car in the A main and took the Win with a strong 56 laps. Shawns car was the fastest but he wasnt as lucky with the track. Andy had to pull, Kevin ran very consistant and fast but played it safe early. Giff was a bit free in his set up. And the new guy survived. Thats really all I know, the 1/8 scale had i nice field, and sportsman was full....TP out

Yea my problem was Turn 1 all night. The turn kept jumping out at me Plus the track definitely changed from 2nd round to the mains. I freed it up some for the main but was not enough. Good job Troy. Three different winners in the last three weeks. Chris was the new guy in foam. Also Gifford had fast lap set in the main with 4.120. Track became a foam one at end of night. We were a good tenth and a half off last weeks.

As we enter the final week leading up to the "Spring Clash" The stage is set for some of the closest racing to date in Monroe . It will sure be a fun challenge just to make into A Main. Plus you get a little cash for finishing top 3.
No tables or chairs will be needed, looking at the list we will have plenty of pit stalls and we will be setting up extra tables and chairs anyways.

1/10 LATE MODEL:
Tentatively there are only 4 with 3 maybes. We knew with no local following this class would be thin. We offered it as a display class to maybe spark an interest for next year or even convert an 1/8 driver or two. .
We thought it was better to offer the class and not have the entries then it was to not offer the class and miss any potential interest.
Because it was a class offered on the flyer it will still be offered on the 13th but only with a min. of 4 cars. As per flyer, it will require a min. of 8 entries in order to pay out.
We would enjoy seeing this class race but with very few LM drivers and so many in every other class, it may be more beneficial to the whole race program to drop that class.

Talk it up, if you’re going to still bring them, great. If not, let it be known as I know of only 1 sure local LM entries.

I posted this on another site, it doesn't effect anyone local. We were hopeful to possibly have a potential 1st time 1/10lm class but with only 6-7 tentative entries for that class and so many more in every other class it may be beneficial to the race program to drop the class.
I'll update as the week go along , but being this class is all dependent on out of towners , it's hard to say right now.
