CONTROLLED PRACTICE IS FINE. BUT THE EXTRA CLIP CONTROL HOW MANY ARE OE TRACK AT ONE TIME. A TRACK FOR 6 PEOPLE SHOULD NOT HAVE 10 CARS ON IT

I just know the last 2 years at that race i demolished my oval car in practice and 2 rounds of qualifiers isnt enough to get it back where it was. I think road course gives more room to spread out but on the oval things happen to fast with 10 cars on that track. I know last year bill actually shut practice down for a minute to get some people off the track.

The best way (IMHO) to run controlled practice is the way Scotty runs it at the Novak.
They have two color clips.. say red and blue.... you need a color clip and a freq clip. Then they get the reds on the stand and start a clock for 3 mins and after they call time the blue clips run. This way you limit the number of cars on the track by how many color clips and you limit the time for each car by setting the practice time for each color run.

Ottoman:

That sounds like a good idea. Does he have a rule of no back-to-back time sessions? I.E. Keeping the clip or having one of each color?

Hey now im not challenged im special. The cheeseland has been my nemisis of oval races i've yet to make the show because of bad races. Last year i was on a tq run broke with 10 seconds left and still made the C. I just wish we could have 3 qualifiers with a resort.

RedZ yes if there is a line of people you couldnt go back to back.
This system actually works really well and is very effiecient.

I feel ovalally challanged after saturday at trackside. here i was gearing for a 120 spur and actually had a 112 in the car. So that's why I was so slow
