2011 Outdoor Off Road Racing at Clark RC Park

Just getting the word out that we will be running a full race schedule this year and hope to see everyone out to have a great time.
Changes this year:
Our starting time has changed, we will open at 9 and racing will start at noon. We will run 2 qualifiers and the mains with a 20 minute break between rounds so people can get more time on the track. We will continue to use the rolling start method for the mains as that seemed to work out great last year. We are still talking over how long the A Mains should be so if you have an opinion now's the time to weigh in!
The Track:
We will yet again be expanding and adding to the drivers stand to accommodate more racers per heat. This will help move things along come raceday and people won't be cramped for space. We are still working on the track layout and will post it as soon as we can. Again if anyone has an opinion on this please let us know!
For now all we can do is wait for mother nature to cooperate and get rid of the snow so we can get at it.
Classes:
The classes we will be running will remain the same for the most part. If we see a larger turnout of electrics, we may consider making a separate class for them to avoid confusion and keep things fair. So Short Course, Buggy and Truggy will be the main classes we run.

Short Course Classes
I'm trying to get an idea of what to run for Short Course this year... Now we have 2WD Stock, 2WD Mod, 4WD 1/10 scale, 4WD 1/8 scale.... Crazy.
So what is everybody planning on running?

We have settled on a date for the Summer Showdown this year. August 6th is the date, make sure you mark your calendars it should be a blast!

Summer Showdown annoucement
The Summer Showdown at the park will be on August 6th this year and promises to be an awesome event. Here is the flyer for the event we will be sending out, hopefully we get some big name sponsors on board. Looking forward to another great year of racing, its gonna be good!
