I was talking to Shaun Saturday about the railing being just a little bit tall.
Suggested that he could just cut the railing pipes that fit inside of the ones welded to the platform and lower it about 6 inches.
Yes marshaling during pratice is and alwasy will be a problem. Just go out for a few min while you are waiting for the battery to recharge.

What are they using for a lap counting system? Will AMB work? Also, I don't see a mention of race rules (classes, motor size, tire restrictions, etc...)

AMB - YES
No rules yet, but their working on them
The PA syatem is not hooked up so no lap times yet.

They opened the track with just what they had. Even the stairs were temporary.

Give them a chance, we've waited this long a few more days of just pratice only is not going to hurt us.

Just curious. Very cool, I can't wait to check it out. I hope to turn a few laps tomorrow.

The track is just not that big to handle the speed from the 1/8.
There is one set of doubles that a good 1/8 electric could easily over jump and possible lane on one of the pit tables.
Like I said, I would call first.

Glad to see this come to fruition. I happen to almost go by there every other Friday and plan to stop by for some mod buggy and help out some rookies.

It's good to see you put a focus on the new drivers. Keeping Fri night open to everyone is good too so the rookies can have more people there to help them.

Hope to see you Friday afternoon!
Who else is in for some mod buggy?!?!

9200 pyott rd, Lake in the hills, il. You can take rt.47 north to rt 62 in huntley and turn right. Take that to pyott and turn left and the track is a half mile or so on the right...

Awesome. I hope to come out sometime this week to run some laps. Tues or Wed afternoon with the RB5. Anyone know what tires to run on this surface? I need to pick some up in the store.

I am thinking the same thing -- anyone want a boatload of new wheels for the ole xxx-cr and B4 style?
