Default Possible New Track in SE WI

I am going to be getting a skid steer soon, and one thing I plan on doing is building a track. Just wondering, how many people would be interested in racing and practicing at a track in elkhorn, wi? It would be a 1/10 and 1/8 track mainly, and possibly another smaller track near it. I'm just trying to decide if it's worth going all out and making a really good track, or if it's going to be more of a backyard track.
Thanks, let me know what you think.

Hey PSF--Elkhorn is not too bad of a drive from Kenosha. Count me in and count my son in also (guess that's two, huh?) Let me know any details you'd like to share.

Sounds good, I plan on posting pictures when it gets done and hopefully I'll get some more interest then. But I just got the go ahead to put the track where I was hoping, and there is plenty of room for a pretty big track. So hopefully in the next couple weeks it will be driveable.

I would suggest trying to get hold of Jerry or some of the guys that ran Thunder RC in Elkhorn. They closed down a few years ago. I raced out there but there was something about having to be a club because of the city rules at the time. I do not remember all the details. Anyway they had a decent turn out for racing i am sure you will have the same.

I'm sure some of the OUTBACK gang would be up to crossing the boarder.

Well I was able to get some time on a skid steer this weekend to start the track. I got the layout made and most of the jumps built. Now it just really needs some smoothing out and some fresh dirt on top. I took some laps with my truggy and buggy and they handled it well, but anything smaller would struggle right now. I will try to get pics up later today.

I was going to post some pics, but then I worked on the track again and it got so much better. So Ill have to get some new ones now. But it's coming along pretty good, a few more hours with a skid steer and it should be mint.
