My cousin Chris was just running his tires under some water to get the pop off. It looked like it worked pretty well. I still haven't touched mine yet either.

Thumbs up Thank you for a great day of racing.

To the 80 plus drivers that showed up to make this last Sunday’s charity
race such a great day, we at HobbyTown Crystal Lake would like to say
thank you very much. I would especially like to thank Sarah Ernst for helping
run the races and keeping the program rolling along.

I have to admit that I was a little more than shocked when I pulled into the
parking lot to see all the people that where already here at 8:15 and when I
was finished entering everyone’s info into the computer I was even more
surprised by the turn out for our temporary little track. When I originally
thought of having this race I was hoping to get about 60 entries so having
121 was not what I expected despite Mr. Bob Oaks telling me that’s what we
would have. Sorry Bob I’m a pessimist by nature.

My opinion on what makes a track or event successful is the people that
attend and by that account I would have to say that this was a very
successful event because we ended up with a great group of racers. On my
end I know that I could have been a lot better and would have liked to have
gotten the program going on time. I’m especially pleased with having so many
new racers both young and old; it’s what we need to keep the racing end of
the hobby going.

When all was said and done we raised about $1,500.00 in food and donations
for the Crystal Lake food pantry so I know that they will be very happy and it
will definitely help their cause. I would like to thank Jim Conklin and Anderson
Motor’s for their food donation and I hope that we have hooked Jim on racing.

I’ll try to get the results up as soon as possible and as soon as I get the
pictures I’ll get them posted as well.

Again I can’t thank everyone enough for supporting our charity race and
making it such a fun day. And I can promise you that if we ever do this again
it will be bigger and better than this one.

Thank you,
Shawn Conley

To make a 120 entry for ON ROAD, it need to be a ROAR NATIONAL event....having 120 entry for a temperory track with very little advertizing...it is only for OFF ROAD or SCT.

Well done...I hope there is another one coming up and I will try to make it. (I cannot make it last sunday cause I was signed up for the TCS event @ omaha)....need to look at the calender more offen.
