Thanks guys, if they are going to offer them at the track I will wait until they get up and running and just purchase one from them to help support the track.
But man those are so much cheaper then the AMB ones, it's like a 1/4 of the price
I've been waiting for a carpet track to open up since Intense Raceway Park closed. This track looks great and its only an hour away! Off-road is just ok, but I'm selling my T4 and getting back into on-road(which I enjoy a lot more!). Now I just need to decide on a touring car

Victor: thanks for helping out big time with the flappers. You are quick with the bolts my man
Scott: same for you
Yeah, we definitely wanted to keep our word on finishing it yesterday... and we did finish it at 1 am. I was back home at 2 and I was so tired yesterday I actually skipped the first hour work today. Just couldn't wake up. All we need now are some sandbags and we should be good "to test the boards"
WHERE CAN WE GET SOME DECENT SANDBAGS...? SAY 20 LBS A PIECE WOULD LIKELY DO IT...

The cheapest and most readily available would be "Sand Tubes" for the back of vehicles during winter, make sure to tape them with a high grade "Duct Tape" or you will have sand all over.
Your other alternative is what RC Performance uses, which are round stepping stones covered with the left over ozite. All depends on how much you want to spend though, and if it is deemed value added.

Where do you get those Eric? I've looked at all the local retail places and can't find them.

Just about any hardware store or home improvement center, they may be a seasonal thing as well, also check the garden center's. I have seen bags of sandbox sand used as well and taped up for the same effect.

I think up by you they have them on the shelves, but here in the city they're no where to be found. The playsand I bought recently was sold in the ripstop bags. I also went to HOBO like you mentioned and got a gazillon feet of duct tape and used that like you do up at harbor.
Artur, you can get the thick contractor plastic bags and ripstop plastic dropcloth. Fill the bags and shape them and tape them. Wrap the ripstop plastic over it all and duct tape the crap out of it.
Here's a photo of what eric created..look at the green arrows, his bags are taped in yellow duct tape
I found the sand tubes at Menards today in their garden center. They would need to be taped. I talked to Brian and if anyone wants to see the track come around 9:00 pm tonight. We don't want to get too much traffic yet because there is still tons of work to be done and we tend to talk and not work when a new face shows up. Hopefully by next week we will have some nights where you guys can come and help us break in this new track. I will try to get some video tonight.
your first track layout looks good, and challenging. will you be running power to all pit stations?
