turn out was low for the first day of racing but i would like to thank Skip, Brad, jay and Brian for coming out. we ran a free race since it was only 4 people. surprisingly Skip's brushless womped on Brian's nitro slayer.
hopefully we will have a better turn out for the first day of dirt oval.
and when i say dirt i mean dirt. lol
hope to see everyone out there this weekend

The lack of people showing up has nothing to do with what day you have the races. I've been racing at the OCC and other tracks around, since I was 10 years old. Im now 36. I have been President, vice president, and director for the Occ racing club in past years.
The OCC use to race on Sundays and Mondays, both days brought in an average of 30 to 40 racers each day. (There was no internet or forums back then)
The one key thing you are not doing is advertising! (correctly!)
This forum is not enough.
I will chat at you in person this coming sunday at the track!
By the way, the track is the best I've seen in years. Very well groomed! This is for Charlie and everyone else. The jumps are perfect, NO MORE INSANE HUGE JUMP. Plus no more worries of corner marshals being hit in the head like last year.

This was one of the best tracks in Wisconsin to race at.I think one of the best ways to get the word out is to hold a big race as soon as you can ,show the racers that your back racing and that it is one of the best places to race.

to all that were thinking that they would come out to occ for racing this Sunday.
RACING THIS WEEKEND HAS BEEN CANCELED.
some one tore up the timing loop, so now we have to get a new one.
we were out there today trying to get the track back in good shape. a few more days and it will be as good as new
i will keep you all updated

!!!!
I remeber those days. The trapp shooters kids bring there bicycles, sand pails, and tonka trucks. They end up destroying the track or destroying the registration stand. I've been there, really sucks! Especially after all the work and sweat thats put into building and preping the track!
Anyways! The guy who posted, "Have a big race" he's right, but you don't want to leave a bad taste in peoples mouth(PISSING PEOPLE OFF) by doing it the wrong way. Like happened last year and passed years. Lets face it, in this Hobby there are alot of cry babies and even though there just toy cars some people hold grudges against tracks if something doesnt go there way.
