I like those rules but am suprised that running a different servo is allowed.

Putting the Slash guys against Associated and Losi cars would be unfair.IMO

I would agree to keep Slash's together and not run with T4's and Losi Trucks, but Associated is coming out with the SC10 so it might be competition for the Slash. We'll have to wait and see! Looking at the pic online it looks like it is 2wd and based on the T4 platform.

There also is (or at least was) an optional track rule about doing something to the tires. I will have to learn what it means. Generally, I will go with the most liberal/permissive rulings/options allowed by the NCCS for their class.

Chimer, I was just thinking if someone showed up with a Slash, but not NCCS compliant, they would have to race in some other way -- either Rookie or whatever we could cook up. I never want to have someone show up and not be able to run.

At Leisure Hours they race the Slash's that are not legal for the Slash Class in the Rookie Class.
I like my Slash but I don't race it too often because it is so slow and I like to race 4wd and racing 2 classes gets expensive quickly. I wish there was a mod Slash class or Mod Short Course Truck Class that could include the new SC10.

I saw that Underground RC has been running a class called Rag Tag. Not a rookie class, but a class where you can run whatever. Kenji mentions it is also a handy class to insert between heats where people like to be in both classes, so it gives people in those heats a chance to prepare. Maybe we will have the Rag Tag class always as an option.

So is the Rag Tag class for Rookie drivers or only for veteran drivers with cars that do not fit in a class? Depending on who shows up should figure out which classes we will run.

It does not care whether rookie or veteran. Part of it is for if there are only a couple of proper classes for the day and you need a little bit of time to kill between the 2 major classes, you just insert the RagTag class. It would allow vehicles that don't fit in any other class. If you get a couple 1/18th scales, a moster truck, and a modified Slash, at least they can do something if everyone else brings only 4wd and stock Slash.

The 6 races for the NCCS series can now be signed up for:

http://rcpro.rcsignup.com/tracks/dis...ack.cfm?ID=232

To have your points counted for the NCCS series, just sign up as a racer (if not already), then your name can be in the system and counted for these special points.

Hey Bob,
I signed up for the Slash series and I have a ILap transponder that I got from Craig so I am ready to roll.
Hopefully the rest of the guys will be signing up soon!

Hi Chimer, jkach.

I am ordering more iLap transponders in about a week, so we can have a full house set of 10, plus a few for sale on consignment.

Hey Bob,
It's good to hear you will have plenty of transponders available. I have an ILap transponder all ready. I know my buddy Ben will need one if he shows up like he says he will (he is the scatter-brain one).
Have you done ANY racing this winter? You don't want to get beat on your own track do ya?

Nope. No racing this winter. It may be sad -- you would think I could win at my own track. Maybe your practice on indoor clay will mislead you on the fluffy loam.

BTW, I picked up a xxx-cr so I can enjoy some good old 2WD as well as 4WD.

Vert,

I just ordered a Novak GTB and a 8.5 from the Novak refurb site. I was thinking of putting that in the xxx-cr. I notice you list a B44 with a 8.5 in it -- how do you like that combo?
