I am looking for a free webmaster for Outbackrc.com. The pages are old now. It is time to clean up a bit. I am happy to write content, and I can take a html fileset and ftp it into the server, if that's how you like to do it. I like my current webmaster, but I am looking for someone who can be familiar with the track. Hopefully someone that knows enough not to put in nasty and useless web-gadgets like the java hit counter I put in long ago. Any takers? You need an ad spot for your business, you want something else in exchange, the table is open.

I'll do it Bob. As long you write the content, I'll make it look nice on the page. I prefer to upload the files myself because the design program I use synchronizes my local files with the files on the web server (very easy that way). I do web hosting also if you are interested in that ever. I'll let you know if I want anything in exchange.

OK. I have been hosting on a small corner of my business server, thus the note about uploading it myself. Maybe we can look into your hosting option, or maybe I could see if I can isolate a corner of my site. I always figure whoever is doing the work can call a lot of the shots.
The content would remain the same through the year except for 1-2 special event flyers and I would like to add links to our html race results, instead of letting them get lost in the forums. There is a lot of content we can copy over right away for the basics. The points series running results from excel might be another add-on.
Style-wise, I pretty much don't care. Just don't add hot chicks to the site.

Hey, I saw Glen's cleaning service. I used to do that. If he needs any high-speed burnishers, an old auto-scrubber, some carts, buckets, floor finish, etc, etc, etc., I have some that I could part with really easy.

Awwww come on BOB! The ACER chicks make me want bearings so BAD.
Maybe some Outback chicks will bring more racers.
Wait. You're not saying you want pictures of ugly chicks?... Are you???
No, no chicks, at least for the sole purpose of chicking out. Racers of all types are OK, of course.
Hey, Mike. Maybe I want to think about a new ESC -- something that Nick (son) or I would equally enjoy. Same with motors. A bit bummed my XBR burnt and took the motor sense wire with it. What do you think is a good thing to look at (other than chicks)?

Reason: Add anti-chick option for Mike.

You might want to try the lrp SPX reversible. It has a low turn limit and has reverse if you want to set it up. (good for practice).
I like the idea behind the new Novak Ballistic motors that have an interchangeable stator. You could buy a 13.5 and just buy the stator for other turns and run different classes cheaper than buying another motor.

Who would be up for a mini IFMAR Worlds style event next year -- just 2wd buggy and 4wd buggy? Not to replace the SCT Showdown or anything. Could we fill a whole race? What would it take? Could we lure out 60 buggies total?

Sounds like good idea to me.

You know...I just spent the last 3 +hours of my Friday night cooped up downstairs changing ballcups, checking ball studs, shimming axles, charging batteries etc. That's after spending Wed night racing, Thur afternoon changing motors in 2wd and speedos in 4wd, and Thur night practicing.
Phew! I'm beat.
Some of you guys are lucky you only race once a month!!!
