Default Ultimate Dreamland R/C Raceway - Coming Soon.

Ultimate Dreamland R/C Raceway - Coming Soon.

Ok, after being involved in the racing world for well over 10 years, and actually being a operations manager for a recently opened track. I have decided that this dream that I share with Tim, Mike, Chris, and many other friends can be a reality.

Just a little background about me, I am a professional business woman who works for a major computer company in a management role, I have owned my own businesses, I am a single mom, a girl scout leader and a honest, trustworth person. If you are someone who already knows me you know that I am a r/c car and truck junkie. I mean how many women do you know that have close to 30 rcs, yes my preference is nitro, but I do on occasion goto the darkside and light up a flashlight.. j/k. But seriously I was starting to really like the slash and was looking forward to racing with one.

I have realized that I have a ton of friends, and fellow racers, bashers, and just plain hobbiest who also love the idea of a local indoor track.

Many of these people have offered to help, financial support, etc. I have started my business plan, and are currently reviewing site locations that friends have provided me with. I am currently looking to set this up in the NW Suburbs. If you know of a location please let me know.

My vision is to set up a facility for all hobbiest to have fun, to have the brand new 10 year old who just bought his first rc to have a place to have fun and play. I want a facility where the bashers can set up some extreme jumps. I really like the jumping through flames, over water, the impossible jumps. I want a place where the racers can come and have a fun friendly location to race. A good ole back to the roots fun place to play.

What I don't want is for people to feel uncomfortable coming to the track, for people to push others off the track but for everyone to have a place to play and see that its something a little different.

I am not looking to make a buck, I have a great job where I get paid. I want a place to play with my vehicles, to teach rookies what the hobby is about and to pass my knowlege onto them so they can have just as much fun in the hobby. Think back when you were little and in my case my dad bought me my first car, and took you in the backyard or to a track and showed you all about your vehicle or about the going to the track every weekend and the relationship that you build and the lifelong friends that you make. That is the kind of place that I want to be part of.

But I realize that without the support of the r/c community, and the people who share my vision its not possible.

So what I am looking for is people who want to volunteer their time and or any donations to make this all a reality and not just a dream for me and alot of us.

Heptel Corp is always at your service for staffing your mission-critical embedded software engineering projects.

I like you vision. It is like mine, except mine is outdoors, electric, and in a slightly different location. One thing I just can't see if how nitro and indoors mix. It continues to astound me that such a combination is acceptable, even at the most deluxe venue, such as Liesure Hours, but everybody seems to like it.

Would you be looking for a place that is properly zoned for business, or would you be looking for a residential location with less monthly cost? I know extremeRC was considering an indoor venue, could you team up with them, or are they too far out (Marengo).

I will be looking for a place that is affordable but yet provides the requirements of size, with indoor and outdoor track possibilities, heat, electric, ventilation, etc. and far enough away from residential housing to not bother people.

As for teaming up with extremerc.. im not sure, but I don't think I currently know any of those guys, but its always a possibility. I want a track for all.

Thanks.. I have looked at several buildings this week and there are definately some possibilities with a little elbow grease and hard work.

I should know more in a week or two to see if they are or can be zoned to hold nitro vehicles.

I was just wondering if you do get a building and it zoning is all good what kind of dirt will you be putting in. I'm hoping clay. You can generally find construction sites giving there dirt away from a dig when they dig they generally have clay depending on the dig site.
