Hello everyone,
I just wanted to let you know we are all set for another great year at the X Games, Skinny from Extreme R/C Cars Magazine will be coming again this year to cover the event. Lots of great sponsors helping out this year with LOTS of great door prizes to give away! This year we are really stepping up the aerial show with lots of Helicopter demos, R/C Plane demos, including a aerial combat show! Friday evening we added a Dirt Oval race. Here's a list of events and other info going on at this year's event:

R/C X Games 2008

Labor Day Weekend, Aug.29th thru Sept. 1st

Race Fees - $45.00 first class, $35.00 2nd class, $25.00 any additional classes
Free T-shirt and gate fees with pre-paid entry
Powderpuff class - $20.00 includes free Panther T-shirt and Panther Tires with pre-paid entry
2 Hour 3 driver team race – pre-paid entry fee $60.00 per Team, $75.00 per Team at the event
All other events - $15.00 = Rock Crawling Competition, Big Air Contest, Last Man Standing Race & Spud Run

Gate fees - $5.00 per day, or $8.00 for weekend pass, children under 10 free
Free gate fees with pre-paid entry

Camping fees - RV or tenting with Electric hook ups $20.00 per night with pre-paid reservations or
$22.00 per night the day of the event. All sites are first come, first serve, the weekend of the event

Schedule of Events:

Friday August 29th - 11:00 A.M. to 7:30 P.M. Open track on the Big X off road Track
8:00 P.M. Dirt Oval racing on the Big X off road track
9:00 P.M. Helicopter night fly at the flying field

Saturday Aug. 30th - 7:00 A.M. to 9:45 Open track on the Big X off road Track
10:00 A.M. Drivers meeting
10:30 A.M. 2 rounds of 10 minute qualifiers begin
11:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Mini X Off road rental track is open
11:30 A.M. Rock Crawling Competitions
1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. R/C Helicopter show at the flying field
4:00 P.M. R/C Boat demo at the pond
Spud Run - Saturday evening after the completion of qualifying

Sunday Aug. 31st - 7:00 A.M. to 9:30 Open track on the Big X off road track
9:45 A.M Drivers meeting
10:00 A.M. Start of the mains on the Big X off road track
11:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Mini X Off road rental track is open
11:30 A.M Rock Crawling Finals
1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M R/C Plane Demo at the flying field
4:00 P.M. R/C Boat Demo at the Pond
Sunday evening after the completion of the mains will be the Big Air contest
followed by the Last Man Standing Race on the Big X off road track

Monday Sept. 1st - 7:00 A.M. to 8:30 Open track on the Big X off road track
9:00 A.M. Team race qualifying
12:00 to 2:00 P.M. 2 Hour - 3 driver Endurance race

Off road Classes –

1) Powderpuff Class - 20 min. A Main, 15 min. B and lower mains
2) 1/10th Mod Electric Truck - 5 Min. A and lower mains, possibly longer depending on number of LIPO entries
3) 1/10th Gas Truck Sportsman - 25 min. A main, 20 min. B and lower mains
4) 1/10th Gas Truck Pro – 30 min. A Main, 25 min. B main, 20 min. C and lower
5) Monster Truck Sportsman – 25 min. A main, 20 min. Band lower mains
6) Monster Truck Pro – 30 min. A main, 25 min. B main, 20 min. C and lower
7) Truggy Sportsman – 25 min. A main, 20 min. B and lower mains
8) Truggy Pro – 45 min. A main, 30 min B main, 20 min C and lower mains
9) 1/8th Buggy Sportsman – 25 min. A main, 20 min. B and lower mains
10) 1/8th Buggy Pro – 45 min. A main, 30 min. B main, 20 min. C and lower mains

2 rounds of 10 minute qualifiers, best round counts for positioning in the mains.
12 driver mains with top 3 positions bumping up
Trophies awarded to all classes

The best race of the year by far. I'm so excited for this year, This next month can't go fast enough!!!

Actually it can. I start school the day after. Needless to say I'm still coming. I'm in for Truggy and Mod Truck!
