Me too. Looks like the dates don't conflict with anything I have. For now anyway.

Wallstreet....the rookie class and the sportsman class look like two different classes....like last year with the brushed class and rookie class/all-star cup cars. I would think racers are not allowed to race in both classes. This way not everyone who wants to take a Josh H beat down can have another class to race. I really think this needed to be done to help racing I hope more tracks go this way this season so the "club" racer has a class to race in and not get the ever living snot beat out of them you know every weekend. How many Minis showed up at each race last year with any regularity would be my guess as to why there is no mini class this time.

Kraig....thats how ROAR has the on road classes structured 13.5 and 19t will/do run in the same class...just like 17.5 and 27t are in the same class. After 2008 there will be no more 10.5 motor class in ROAR so it looks like brad just made that rule now to start the whole season rather then change it later.

Default premounts

Why premounts?

I am guessing so it does not turn into a insert and tire battle. Premounts are expensive enough. If we all start buying every insert and tire to find the fastest combo it gets nuts. And expensive and wasteful.

From what I was told about the pre-mount rule is this way its a tire that anyone can go buy. Meaning no-one will be able to build up a set of tires using hard to get inserts or rims from Japan. Also when tires become hard to locate you are not locked into just 1 brand of tires. Plus people that are going to a race that will use a pre-mount hand out tire they can use that tire to race in the series for practice. It doesnt seem like a bad idea to me.

Beavis,

If you want to build your own tires you can run in Trans Am.

Depending on what sedan I have by then I'm up for some foam tire action, or rubber, or 1/12th, or.....

The way it is written it can/could be confusing. As Kevin said I think Brad's intention for the series is to follow ROAR classes/specs, so IMO it probably should have just read rookie/novice, stock rubber, super stock.
