Hey everyone, I read the forums about starting a new thread. Well here it is. Just talk about the positives and give out suggestions so RCP gets a great turnout at the first carpet race. Forget about the dirt because there is nothing you can do to bring it back at the time. And hopefully someone can keep us posted at RCP can post frequently on updates about the track.

Thanks for opening this new thread. I will make sure to keep everyone as up to date as possible about the status of the track.
I think it would be a good idea not to have it during the day on sunday. Alot of the guys will be racing out at the rockpile. And alot of people work during the day on saturdays. Maybe a week night? Or saturday night? Night time seems the best.
I have been talking to Ben about some of the ideas on the carpet track. I gave him an idea to keep the racing on nights that other tracks do not run on. Like Trackside on Tuesday night. Not a good idea to run on same nights=low turnout. One idea I do have is based on the Trans-Am class specs for the oval nights.

No worries, we still have some time to figure out all the details. I should be talking with CRC again tommorow to get a good base line reference on when to expect the carpet. Theres also a fair share of cleanup and work to be done before were ready anyhow. I will let everyone know as soon as i find out the details.
as for classes and days i have been working pn a few. got a couple of ideas and especially for ally of you that own buggy's, we are trying to come up with an idea for that as well. we all here at rcp will keep you updated and hope to see you come winter!

Wow - not racing until winter? Maybe RCP should establish something sooner to work out the kinks and get a racer base before you have to compete with the other two carpet tracks in the area. I was hoping to get some track time this summer.
Buggies on carpet... hmmm. Installing some kind of guard on the shocktowers to keep them from ripping the carpet up?
Hopefully the "powers" of RCP get together to unify ideas on programs. Organization and planning are key to a successful business.
How about a heavy metal truck class? Offroad buggies with truck bodies and buggy sized wheels and tires. Slow motors too, 19t or 4300 BL. This would allow any existing buggy and the body would protect the carpet and without huge monster truck sized wheels sticking out the cars could make contact in the turns without getting hung up on each other.
