i was thinking of maybe doing a bomber class like for the oval that never happened. run 30's-80's sedan bodies and truck tires all 4 corners like maybe clicks or foams, something along those lines.....

also here are a few more ideas:

sedan:
mod, stock, and super stock
import tuner (running like mitsubishi/subaru style of bodies)
trans am

truck:
slicked rubber
foam

buggy:
rally? (small bumps)
bomber

oval:
nascar
latemodel
mini's (sliders, latemodel, mini)

any other ideas? obviously rules and limits need to be set up but lets get some classes that work for people and go from there.

thanx

Maybe truck onroad? We at marcca had a couple oval nights! It was a blast. Just another idea.

Just my $.02 about possible classes.....
Touring car - foam? rubber? both or strictly one tire? take off c27's?

How about instead of running just import/tuner bodies, go all out and have a drifting class? This may not be popular, but it's an option.

1/12th - If there are any other 1/12 guys willing to run, I am all in.

A return of pan cars?

I am thinking there will be Rubber and foam sedan classes, just because of the tire shortage. 10th scale pancar, I am looking to buy a Tamiya F103gt which I could run in the 10th scale pan car class.

How many drifter's are out there???

I would try to get a solid main class going, like 13.5 rubber sedan (or whatever), and then branch out from there.

13.5 and Mini's should be pretty easy to get.
Sliders should be coming out of the wall for oval.

I like to hear all of the ideas. Do you think like onroad would be split up into another night. Offroad one night? Or will it all be in one night?

As far as classes are concerned just look at what is going on at track near you like Trackside and The Track. That will tell you what classes will work. If you offer to many classes you will usually kill a track as everyone gets spread out and interest in the abnormal classes will fall off resulting in less racers. If you let racers dictate everything you will not get anything acoplished. Look around at all the track closings the past couple years just have a few popular classes and keep the fun level high.

Also have to run on the opposite days when these tracks are racing. 13.5 and Trans-Am should have a good turn out at RCP.

like i said earlier, those are just some options. not sure exactly what but for sure classes that i know that will most likely take off will be 13.5 sedan rubber, trans am, and carpet truck. onroad and carpet off road will be run on different days that have not been determined yet, but we will keep everyone updated.

With my work schedule having me all over the country most weeks, I more than likely wouldnt be able to run with any consistency... but my 1/12th chassis and setup are the only bits of R/C I have left still... so I may pick up some cheap radio gear, and play now and then down there if there are any other 1/12th'rs that survived the collapse of that class about 2 years ago.

Some thing I would point out though... is if this track turns into a wood chip/splinter mine field like Marcca's has every time, then theres no point in doing 1/12th. Those expensive little foams get eaten up like there in a blender over that stuff.

I would start with

Roadcourse

sedan rubber 13.5
sedan foam 13.5 or 10.5 see if people want to run foam
1/12 13.5 or 10.5
1/10 truck 13.5

Oval

1/10 pancar 13.5 or 10.5
1/18 sliders
maybe sedan if people want to run it

This would be a good time for people to chime in and state what classes they would like to see. I wouldn't go over board with alot of classes.
