Sadly, His & Hers closed last summer ( '07 ) and Bill Van Kirk has since moved from the area.

If I remember correctly Bill's family got kindof a double whammy: his wife was battling cancer, and Bill himself had a problem with, I wanna say it was appendicitis or something? Maybe you remember Matt. Anyway, the hospital bills got big in a hurry and he had to close up shop.

That's to bad. The owner seemed like as nice guy and I beleive his son was a pretty good on-road RC racer.

Bob

PS. Have any new on-road tracks opened in the last year in the local area?

"The Track" at Harbor Hobbies is just down the road from where His and Her's was located. Their listing is in this site.

As has been mentioned, we unfortunately had to close last July......

After the wife's bout with cancer, my pancreatitus and some legal battles with one of the boys, the whole thing simply got to be too much to carry on.

We have since moved to Missouri (down around Branson) and am trying to get all things back to normal......

I do want to thank all of you that supported us over the years that we were there and I can say with all honesty, I MISS THE RACING AND THE PEOPLE!!

Thanks again and if anyone out there wants to keep in touch, my email is [email protected]

Thanks all,

Bill

What he probably meant to say was "about 10 miles South and across the state line" We wouldn't want anybody to decide to try to just "find" the hobby shop by driving around near where H&H used to be.

I miss you Bill! You ran a top notch track and store and we always had fun at your place. It was a class act.

I was up at Eric's place today and thought about Kenosha.

When I'm in Winthrop I run across people who we raced with at your place and everyone still speaks of it fondly. Just thought you'd want to know.

Tell the kids and Sonia I said hello.

Thanks Kenji, we appreciate the kind words. We tried our best to make it the best possible place we could......

Anyhow, keep in touch. I will try to make sure I swing through there (the Track) when we make it back up there from time to time.

Thanks

Bill
