Just a few updates for the Team Checkpoint Race this weekend...

Event T-Shirts are in and they look great!

TQ awards will be custom Upgrade RC pit mats!

We have a ton of give-a-way items and more coming in everyday!

We will have a few high-end items for raffle prizes...remember, 100% of the proceeds will go towards the Dash For Cash!

For all of you guys that qualify last, don't fear, you will get a one year subscription to R/C Car Magazine!

Bring your 1/8 Electric cars...we will run a couple of demo races.

If you have some new racers or sportsman racers that are interested in coming, bring them with! All we need are 6 racers to make a class. Word is, the winner may receive a brand new Hot Bodies D4 kit!!

Practice is Friday / 4 Qualifiers and Dash For Cash on Saturday / All mains, with BUMP UPS on Sunday!

LiPo's legal in all classes!

This should be a great time this year...hope to see everyone out there!

Guess I'm a little behind the times with this news, never bother checking any of the LH threads anymore because I got tired of being repeatedly told no in regards to running brushless and/or lipo packs on race day for the last few years. He** has apparently officially frozen over.. hopefully not too late to save electric racing as a whole (at this track.) Is the Friday practice electric only since it's the day before the big race or is it another open free-for-all? Also.. new layout for the race or is it something that the nitro vehicles will have already run on?

Friday practice is for the TCP race only.

Brand new layout, we will be the first to race on it.

Not according to Leisure's website. The nitro guys get to lay down a coat of oil and beat the snot out of the jumps and landings on Wednesday night.

Yessir, that is exactly what'll happen.

Just FYI, Leisure Hours Raceway/Hobbies does not care about electric in general. They do not have a regularly scheduled electric practice night. Why not? Forcing electric to practice with the nitros results in more broken electric trucks and buggies. Oh, and of course, nitro costs more to fix and maintain, hence the push for nitro. Electric is making a comeback, and they seem not to believe it.
