* The schedule is now final. Unless any major discrepencies come up, the rules and information below are final as well.
Two rain dates are set aside, one for any of the first three rounds that may be rained out, and one for any of the last three rounds that may be rained out. If more than one round is rained out in either half of the season, there will be only one make up date and the other round(s) that were rained out will be dropped from the series. If the rain date is rained out, then that race will not count towards the series.
This years Dash for Cash series will have a number of changes over last year, including much bigger payouts. Payouts will be for the nitro classes only. Electric class winners will receive prize packages with a heftly helping of goodies.
The following info applies to all races in the series:
Dash for Cash Series Payout:
$5 from each entry in a particular class from every race will be put into the class purse. For example, if there are 30 1/8th scale entries at each of the 6 races, there would be $900 in the purse (30 x 6 x $5) for the 1/8th scale class at the end of the season. All nitro classes will have their own purse, which will be dependent on the number of entries.
At the end of the season, the purse for each class will be divided among the top three points finishers. 50% will go to 1st, 30% to second, and 20% to third. Based on the $900 purse example above, that equates to $450 for 1st, $270 for 2nd, and $180 for 3rd!!!

2 car bump up for nitro classes (all drivers will be bumped up, however it is the drivers choice if he/she wants to run the next main)

Trophies for top three in each main at EVERY race!
Race order will depend on number of entries in each class and drivers competing in multiple classes.
All nitro A-Mains will be run last.
We use the AMBrc personal transponder counting system with RC Scoring Pro software. Handout transponders are avaialable if you do not have a personal transponder at no additional charges.
Common race rules and racer etique shall be used. This will be gone over in the drivers meetings.
Indoor pitting is available, but limited to 70 people.
If you plan to pit outside, please bring your own chairs, tables, and extension cords.
If it starts to rain and at least one full round has been completed, then the qualifying order will determine the winner. If one full round and part of the second round has been completed, then only those classes that are completed for the second round will have the second round times count. In the case that the race is called during the mains, then mains that are finished will determine the winner, and qualifying order will determine the winner of the remaining classes. No points will be awarded for leading a lap and most laps lead unless the A-Main for that class has been completed.
Entry refunds will be given if the race is cancelled before the first round is complete, and the race will be rescheduled for the appropriate rain date listed. If one full round has been completed and the race is cancelled, no refunds will be given and the race will not be rescheduled.
Free camping is available in the parking lot

If you guys have any questions, please feel free to call the numbers listed above or reply on here. We will be watching this thread daily and will answer any questions asap.
So far it sounds like we will have a great turnout this year. If you plan on racing, let us know on here and then start spreading the word. The more racers that come, the more money there is up for grabs!
Also note that there may be a few minor changes made to the above info depending on racer feedback or conflicting race dates. After May 1st however, all info will be final.
Regardless of any schedule changes, the Spring Bling's date and race times on May 13th are final.

Just to clarify before I buy one...an E-Maxx is considered a monster truck correct? That's kinda obvious I know so I'll just have to do a battery swap mid-race then correct?

Correct. The monster truck class is open for electric or nitro as long as it is a production based monster truck (no pan-style chassis conversions), but it will follow all of the nitro class racing formats. The Unlimited Nitro Truck (Truggy) class is for nitro only.
Just to clarify a bit more on the monster truck class sepparation... you can run hop-ups, different tires, bodies, etc in the regular monster truck class, but it needs to be based off of the production chassis design. Any Truggy conversions or pan-style chassis will be put in the Unlimited Nitro Truck class. The classes are sepparated this year because of obvious performance differences between the two chassis designs.

Brandon,
I just ordered an RTR 1/8 buggy with a .26 engine thinking it would be legal at the track. Why are the engines limited to .21 when many RTR's come with .26 & .28's?
Thanks,
Troy
Troy most 1/8 scale rtr's with bigger than .21 engines should be allowed. The bigger displacement rtr engines still arent up to par with a good .21 race motor so there is no advantage.
The .21 engine is the industry standard for 1/8 scale that is why most tracks say this is the limit but make exeptions for racers who want to run rtr's.

Troy,
This brings up a good point... like Karl said, the industry standard is .21, and that is the rules for all ROAR, IFMAR, and RC Pro Series races. Personally, I dont see a problem allowing larger RTR motors because again like Karl said, they are not as fast as race bread .21's. This Saturday Jim and Jeff and I will figure out final rules, so I will bring this up. As stated above, minor details such as this may change up to May 1st, after that everything is final. Thanks for bringing this up, and please continue to bring up any other questions/comments/concerns so we can get them worked out by May 1st.
Last year we were pretty lax and did things on a race-by-race basis. We still want to keep that same atmosphere, however with the big payouts we want to set as many ground rules as possible to prevent headaches and confusion come the end of the season.

Going off of Troy's nitro engine question, I might as well clear up any questions about electric. Li-Po batteries and/or brushless motors will be allowed in modified classes, however stock classes must run stock brushed motors and standard 6-cell NiMh or NiCad batteries.

Brandon,
To be eligible for the year-end points payout, do we need to race every event or just as we're able to? I didn't notice it anywhere in the notes.
I'm getting the 1/8 buggy because otherwise it's a long day if you're just racing an (1) electric class and only get 15 minutes of race time. With the nitro's, I get almost double the race time for about the same entry fee. Doesn't seem fair to the electric racers.
