Default Look what Traxxas is doing to promote the hobby.

http://www.traxxas.com/products/news.../slideshow.htm

Tell me that doesnt get people into the hobby?
Good for TRAXXAS!!!
I would like to thank them for making my first 2 r/c's TRAXXAS 6 years ago and I still have them. I not have owned over 6 Traxxas vehicles and currently have 3. They do so much to prommote the hobby. They also sell these at PEPBOYS, and it doesnt hurt the LHS because the people who buy at pepboys would have never walked into HOBBY SHOP ANYWAY.

Thank you Traxxas!

Besides the revo being a racer i wouldn't mind seeing them coming out with a few more race kits, sedan, 2wd buggy, 4wd buggy, that would interesting.

no they do not claim that.
Good guess
Try to see what Traxxas is doing in this hard time in the economy. Their sales are probbally down 50% and this is a good thing to do now.

I wouldn't be entirely suprised to see Traxxas vehicles at a Wallmart in the next 5 years.

Me either. They already sell Losi and Associated at Toys r us. Traxxas and walmart though seem more matched.

I've never seen Associated sold at walmart.

I think Traxxas is doing a lot of good for the hobby, however I think they always fall one step short of brilliant. For instance: the Revo has really turned into a great race truck and is very popular. So why not make a "Factory" Revo kit for racers, a kit with a lot of the hop up parts that are necissary for racing, or even just some extras for tuning (shock springs, rocker arms etc). I think they could cater to the racers since they make a great race truck. Same goes for the Slash/Slayer. That will end up being a popular class and I think a "Team" kit would be popular there too, but yes I do see them taking control of a very large portion of this hobby later on too.

Toys R us.. They sell them and losi online (For crazy retarded prices).

My 1st rig was a traxxas, but it almost put me out of the hobby instead of bring me into it more. Until I got my savage and relized that something doesnt have to break after every run, was when I got excited about the hobby. I had $1600 into a Tmaxx that my stock .25 savage was stronger, more reliable and faster.. So that had left a pretty sour taste in my mouth. But I own a E-revo today and really like it.
Traxxas does good for the hobby such as sponsoring stuff like the core trucks and these semi's, but I dont like how they seem to pray on noobs with there unrealistic speed ratings that are huge on the boxes and adds. (Speed is always a noobs 1st question. They tend to think faster ='s better). I also dont like how they seem to take parts from exsiting stuff to make new trucks. IMO the Revo is the only thing they have really put out in the last 4-5 years that has any enginuity to it. Im also not a fan of how they slap a new mill into the truck and consider that the "New" truck. (From pro .15, to 2.5, to 2.5r, to 3.3 etc). But all in all Id say its a decent company and deffinatly opened the gates for Nitro.
