Nice looking car!
Was in Orlando on vacation for a few weeks so I swung into Graves RC store their and got a new Futuba radio like you said. Hooked it up and working now! Too wet to actually drive outside right now but hopefully soon. I want to make sure I can beat my kids in their EXC AMP's!

That's a great radio to dive back in with for vintage... For my current vintage and bashers, I'm running a 3pkra 2.4, 3pl, 4pl, and a 3pv. If you ever see yourself getting into something like a clodbuster, keep an eye out for a used 4pl or 4pls. Great radios!! Also, the Spektrum DX2E works well with vintage stuff and bashers.
a Futaba 3PRKA 3-Channel 2.4GHz Radio FHSS System is like 70$ bucks extra receivers like 40$
same features as your original radio.
or you could pick up the same radio you have for 20-40$ off ebay
you could also get a early 2000s futaba radio system for around 40$ as well. this would be 3 channel with 10 model memory and all the computerized features on FM frequency. these would be compatible with the analog servo you have as well including the original esc
