Here is my Traxxas Eagle

upgraded the transmission with vxl gears, I have run brushless in it. I do not have an original body for it.

and my (son's) Tamiya Lunchbox, not a reissue

added oil shocks, bearings, and brushless

I just bought an optima mid.
After a total cleaning and detail, it is practically brand new except for some scratches on one arm and the need for new tires and wheels.
Was only run on a roller skating rink for about 7 races. Came with a graphite oval chassis. Original chassis was never used. Whole car never saw the dirt.

Still have the orig box in great condition.

Will post pics in a day or two.

Wish I could find some pics of my old Super Champ. My very first real RC. Also had an Ultima and a Grasshopper back in the day.

Anyone have a pic of their Radio Shack Red Arrow and/or a Golden Arrow? Those buggies were pretty cool for toy-grade RC! That car brings back a lot of memories...

I remember those things, it was my first exposure to a 540 powered rc car, (my nikko was 380) I thought it was balistic fast!

I'm trying to find a pic of one.

mtn bkr - Nice Super Champ... was it a runner or a shelf queen?! My Super Champ runner looks nothing like the original Champ... full of CRP stuff and other mods I added from back in the 80's. I can't bring myself to building my NIB one so I wouldn't mind scoring a stock runner in good shape someday. Talk about a heavy rear end though! Will try to post my slowly growing collection when I get the chance.

Of all the vintage cars, what would be the competitives ones to run for one of those big Vintage races? I currently have an Optima Mid long and short wheelbase. I regret selling my RC10 many years ago.

I'll post some pics of my Optimas as soon as my Marwan Kyosho reproduction bodies arrive from Kuwait. I have one so far and he does damn good work down to the decals, wings and cut lines.
