Small Vent!

Small Vent!
Ok, I buy way too much stuff. I've been at this all too long and just have fun. As such, I sell stuff, not looking to make a killing or rip anyone off, but don't want to take a bath.
That said, there are 2 types of people who drive me, and probably many of you nuts!
The low baller. I listed the item 5-minutes ago and they offer half of the asking price. I know haggling is part of this, but please.
Then there is the person who makes a respectable offer, and you accept, and they then never reply or then back out.
Ok, thanks for reading.

I guess what part of "firm at $70" he didn't get.

what annoys me are the ones who have 35462345 for sale threads so when they decide to bump all of them at the same time, 2/3 of page one is all of their stuff.

I buy and sell a bit (ok a lot) but way I see it:
Item is sold when you pay for it, until then it's fair game, Paypal is instant, and it weeds out the tyre kickers and those who want something but want you to wait about for payment as they have a court settlement they are due by suing their ex mother in law's donkey who kicked a tyre which bothered a bee which stung you on your kneecap.
People will lowball, especially in times of economic hardship, You could offer free post and someone will still try and get you to pay them to receive it.

I have given stuff away in spite because people just want to do the low ball game. I am not selling to make money, I simply do not need it, and I hang out at the track with people on very limited budgets, so problem solved and a happy friend.
My response to low balls is often "Nope, good luck" Not just here, but any place they lurk.
Add to the list the people that offer up unsolicited trades. No I do not need your busted up ______ . (I like traxxas, great company, but it is almost always a slash or a rustler)

I've been through more than few annoying tire kickers. One guy asked a million questions over two days, we agreed on a price then he disappeared. Another asked me to ship first then he would pay. This was for a $300 8th scale package. LOL. This guy had over 40 feedback, so there was no excuse for that. I politely told him to go pound sand. I also had a few that agreed to the price asked for my Paypal then were gone like puffs of smoke.

On the flip hand buyers should also remember an item is worth what people pay, so just because you don't think the deal is good someone else may.

What bothers me is someone that has a five year old item and wants more than a brand new one today.
You try explain ..........and then I just go buy the new item .
